We’ve partnered with Microsoft to extend their digital rights management (DRM) solutions for protecting on-demand and live streaming offered through Azure Media Services.
Microsoft Azure Media Services (AMS) is a leading full-service media platform for securely delivering live and on-demand video to virtually any device. Its scalable cloud solutions enable you to create end-to-end workflows including encoding, packaging, content storage, and delivery to end consumers.
We compliment Azure’s extensive feature set by providing licensing for Google’s Widevine Modular DRM system via our DRMtoday service. This enables the playback of secured Smooth Streaming and MPEG-DASH content when the Widevine system is required.
With this additional DRM support, AMS customers can now deliver protected video content to their viewers over a wider array of platforms and devices (for example, through Chrome browsers via HTML5 playback).
We also offer content providers our PRESTOplay SDK playback technology for browsers, mobiles, TVs, and desktops which are compatible with DRM secured AMS on-demand and live streams.
