We are pleased to announce a new addition to our comprehensive DRMtoday licensing service: offline DRM for passenger entertainment!

DRMtoday

To distribute premium content across onboard entertainment systems, studios require digital rights management (DRM) to be in place.

Our offline version of DRMtoday is designed to license protected video and audio content across in-flight entertainment (IFE) systems as well as streaming networks operating on trains, buses, cruise ships, and ferries.

DRMtoday

Supported DRM systems include Microsoft® PlayReady®, Google Widevine™, CMLA-OMA, and FairPlay Streaming. This allows HLS, MPEG-DASH, and Smooth Streaming content to be securely delivered through onboard servers to either installed playback hardware or passenger-owned Android™/iOS devices and laptop browsers.

Through our end-to-end solutions we offer content preparation into delivery formats, an offline DRM backend, playback software, and safe synchronisation of assets to onboard servers.

Our offline solution can also be deployed in other environments with limited or no internet access, or where keys need to be stored locally instead of in the cloud.
