DRMtoday API Integration with AWS Media Services Available Now with Pay-As-You-Go Pricing
Pay TV operators, broadcasters, and OTT providers increasingly wish to use cloud-based workflows to securely deliver premium live and on-demand video content to consumers. To do so effectively requires a scalable and cost-effective means of converting, packaging, and licensing content into various formats for secure viewing on different devices.
We’ve worked with AWS Elemental to provide turnkey digital rights management (DRM) in conjunction with cloud-based video processing solutions. This is achieved through DRMtoday API integration with AWS Media Services to streamline key ingestion and cloud-based DRM licensing.
DRMtoday is our extensive licensing and access control cloud service for premium video entertainment. Running on AWS since 2012, the service enables rapid adoption of multiple studio-recognized DRM systems from a single source for protected playback across all screens. This allows video providers to easily meet the highest studio content security requirements.
AWS Media Services are cloud-based solutions with pay-as-you-go pricing, which provide customers the capability to ingest, process, package, and deliver video content at scale. AWS Media Services with DRMtoday API integration include:
AWS Elemental MediaConvert for VOD Workflows
A file-based video processing service that makes it easy to transcode and encrypt on-demand content for broadcast and multi-screen delivery.
AWS Elemental MediaPackage for Live Video Workflows
A video origination, encryption, and just-in-time packaging service for secure and reliable delivery of streaming content at scale.
Multi-DRM as a License Delivery Network
Built on reliable multi-region AWS infrastructure, DRMtoday operates as a License Delivery Network providing best-in-class content licensing.
- One simple API integration to access all major studio-recognized DRM systems including: Google Widevine, Microsoft PlayReady, and FairPlay Streaming by Apple
- Fast stream starting: least-latency routing is used to minimize license turnaround time allowing content to play sooner
- Avoid service outages: high availability and fault-tolerant redundancy using Amazon Route 53
DRMtoday API integration with AWS Media Services enables digital media providers to securely deliver high quality streams with the scalability and low-cost simplicity of cloud-based solutions.
Now Available on AWS Marketplace with Pay-As-You-Go Pricing

AWS users can take advantage of our easiest DRMtoday set up yet with AWS CloudFormation templates for rapid deployment.
Additionally AWS Marketplace users can take a free trial for the first 45 days or 500 license requests.
“DRMtoday is trusted by content owners and digital video markets worldwide with billions of licenses delivered. Our globally scalable and robust licensing platform is the ideal companion to AWS Media Services, and is deployed on the same proven AWS infrastructure. Working together, we allow video providers to benefit from reduced complexity and faster time to market for multi-format processing and multi-DRM adoption across all screens.”
