From November 17-18, 2015 the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) will be hosting its technology conference, APEX TEC, in Newport Beach, California.

APEX is a non-profit group whose members are dedicated to elevating the air travel experience for all passengers worldwide.

Industry expert speakers and panelists will offer technical information, guidance, analysis, and trend reporting on issues that are critical to the aviation industry. The event will cover a broad range of topics concerning inflight entertainment and progress in the development of the next-generation supply chain.

Michael Stattmann, Managing Director of castLabs, will be speaking during three sessions:

  • Next-gen digital supply chain workflows for next-gen content: Outlining trends regarding the use of the cloud and content delivery ecosystems with examples of common file and Common Encryption (CENC).
  • Virtual Reality / Assisted Reality: Immersing passengers in a virtual world that allows them to realistically visit various destinations and experience different encounters all at a click of a button.
  • Focus on the Future: Emerging Technologies Advisory Panel: Technology is developing at a rapid pace, and its early adoption into to IFEC is also accelerating. This panel session offers a look into emerging technologies that may be available in the next 5-15 years.
